FI Training
Learn the internationally-recognized NCAC Child Forensic Interview Structure online in our interactive virtual classroom. NCAC instructors are practicing interviewers which allows them to engage beyond typical lecture methods with the most current, evidence-based, and practical experience. The training has been adapted to our virtual classroom and includes participant discussion, mock interview practicum with facilitator feedback, review of recorded forensic interviews, and experiential skill-building exercises. To enhance the trainee's continued education and skill development, each trainee receives access to additional training materials online, periodic follow-up calls with the NCAC trainer, and post-training e-mail and telephone support, as requested. As new research is incorporated into forensic interviewing practice, updated training materials are made available to past trainees.
Technology
Each participant will need their own computer with a strong internet connection. We strongly recommend utilizing a computer instead of a phone or tablet as not all training features can be accessed by phone or tablet. Each participant will also need a webcam, speakers, microphone and headphones as these are all required for participation throughout this training.
Participants will be given access to an online course in the NCAC Virtual Training Center where they can access course materials, and training will be held each day live in the online classroom via Adobe Connect. There will also be items that need to be completed prior to the first day of training. We will provide participants instructions for how to access both platforms as well as how to test their technology prior to the start of training.
ACCESS TO MATERIALS AND TRAINING LINKS WILL BE E-MAILED TO PARTICIPANTS FROM NCAC IN ADVANCE OF THE TRAINING
